Chamiza Foundation Grant Writing & Learning Outcomes Workshop

Santo Domingo Pueblo, NM

We were honored to receive a special request from the Santo Domingo Pueblo Employment and Training Department to host a Grant Writing & Learning Outcomes workshop for their Youth Council on January 17, 2026. The workshop drew not only members of the Youth Council but also several tribal program staff, highlighting the community’s strong commitment to education and growth—especially considering it was held on a Saturday!

The day was filled with positive energy, laughter, and an eagerness to learn. We truly appreciated the opportunity to visit Santo Domingo Pueblo, share what Chamiza is all about, and showcase the resources and support we offer. We look forward to our next workshop and continuing this wonderful partnership.

Taos Pueblo Sewing Pride Project

The Taos Pueblo Sewing Pride Project is an intergenerational initiative dedicated to preserving the cultural traditions of Taos Pueblo women. This program brings together youth and elders to learn and create manta dresses and shawls, while also incorporating Tiwa language instruction and structured activities that foster intergenerational learning and cultural sharing. At the conclusion of the program, participants proudly showcased the traditional regalia they created during their classes in a fashion show, celebrating both their skills and their cultural heritage.
